Lost Wax Casting

A versatile technique, which allows to shape the matter to create your micro-sculptures, making them precious and unique in their originality.

“The knowledge of the Ancients translates into contemporary artworks.”

The metal melts, slides into the empty plaster molds and becomes artwork. Once I realize the wax micro-sculpture of the object, I make a plaster cast out of it. That’s when the magic happens: the molten metal pours into the mold created by wax, it melts it and takes the shape left into the plaster cast. From this specific phase of the process comes the name “lost wax”.
My favorite metal is bronze, a versatile material, embodying the jewel in its very essence and radiates with a warm light. It is suitable to a variety of works and can also be treated with acids to create dynamic color variations, which evolve in time even after the creation of the object, making it alive.
As a final phase, I take care of the finishing and polishing of the micro-sculpture, which the wax has turned into metal, to release the natural light of metals, and I place stones where needed. This is an exciting moment, because the object comes to life and is finally ready to become a part of your life.

Once I realize the wax micro-sculpture of the object, I make a plaster cast out of it. That’s when the magic happens: the molten metal pours into the mold created by wax, it melts it and takes the shape left into the plaster cast. From this specific phase of the process comes the name “lost wax”.
My favorite metal is bronze. This material represents the essence of jewelry and illuminates the skin with a warm light, warmer than gold, almost rose-colored. Moreover, bronze can also be treated with acids to create dynamic color variations, which evolve in time even after the creation of the object, making it alive. As a final phase, I take care of the finishing and polishing of the micro-sculpture, which the wax has turned into metal, to release the natural light of metals, and I place stones where needed. “The lost wax casting technique is pure creative freedom.”

The micro-fusion technique allows to give to the sturdiness of metal a soft and organic shape, in a game of contrasts made even more elegant by adding unexpected stones and materials. In this space of total creative freedom, I find the inspiration to create timeless jewels and furnishing objects, which encompass the trends of the moments by speaking the universal language of art.

“The pleasure of shaping the wax to create exquisite details.”

Each project begins with an original sketch, which I use as a guide to shape the wax following my creativity and the peculiar characteristics of the material. Wax is supple, soft under my hands, so it faithfully preserves the precious details I create to turn each micro-sculpture into an artwork to experience, wear and collect.

“The lost wax casting technique, for you”

Collections

My collections of jewels, as well as the decorative accessories, are thought to give to those who experience them in daily life the pleasure to own an object with an ancient and avant-garde feel at the same time. A precious sculpture, a complex, yet simple and easy to wear jewel which represents your inner self.
